The main area of teaching is called Kinestitic / on-the-job training The courses are designed to provide competency-based knowledge, theory, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology / barbering industry. The program provides both simulated and authentic environments that enable students to develop technical skills. Coursework includes instruction in all phases of professional cosmetology, hairdressing, barbering, esthetics, nail technology: history, sanitation and safety,  design, related sciences, and business principles. This program prepares students to take the Colorado State Examination required for licensing.
